The opioid epidemic is a nationwide concern. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cite that more than half a million people died from drug overdoses from 2000 to 2015, with 91 Americans dying each day from opioid overdose. The human toll of the issue is clear and importance of addressing the problem is of utmost concern. What are the contributing issues to this epidemic?
