Presented in partnership with the WSBA Construction Law Section

An hour-long presentation by Dr. Carrie Sturts Dossick and Hamid Abdirad at the WSBA Construction Law Section Dinner Seminar, March 1, 2018.

This presentation will cover a brief overview of Building Information Modeling (BIM) definitions and history.  We will then cover the current common uses of building information modeling and share the recently published National BIM Guide for Owners (NBGO) by the National Institute of Building Sciences.  The talk will include best practices of BIM Execution Planning and then a discussion on construction contract requirements related to digital deliverables which are important for construction lawyers to know about.  We will end the presentation with a short hands-on demonstration of some of the key features of BIM tools and make ourselves available for Q&A.
