This program is designed for Washington legal professionals interested in engaging in pro bono work and deepening their understanding of ethical and equity issues in volunteer legal services.

Participants will learn:

How to track pro bono hours
Understanding RPC 6.1
Practical guidance on ethical issues unique to volunteer legal clinic representation. Including limited-scope services, client communication, and working with interpreters.
Explore the framework of cultural humility, understanding its core tenets and how to apply them in pro bono settings to better serve communities from diverse backgrounds.
