Most animal cruelty prosecutions involve domestic pets like cats and dogs, or neglected livestock such as horses, sheep and cattle. This session will explore prosecuting animal cruelty where the victims are undomesticated wild animals. Animal wildlife are frequent victims of cruelty, as shown by their treatment and rehabilitation at sanctuaries. This session will use real life investigations and cases to explore the issues and challenges raised by cruelty to wildlife, and how to effectively prosecute those cases.
