*In its 2023 session, the Washington Legislature adopted the Uniform Family Law Arbitration Act, which requires (with some exceptions) that arbitrators be “[t]rained in child development, child and juvenile mental health issues, identifying domestic violence and child abuse, and trauma-informed practices. This training must consist of at least seven hours every year.” Laws of 2023 Ch. 61,§ 2, eff. 1/1/2024.
