Description: John Phillip Abrams (WSBA No. 31068 admitted 2001) of Lacey, was reprimanded, effective 1/06/2025, by order of the hearing officer. Sachia Stonefeld Powell acted as disciplinary counsel. Kevin M. Bank represented respondent. Joseph M. Mano was the hearing officer. Pilar L.Tirado Murray was the settlement hearing officer.

The lawyer’s conduct violated the following Rules of Professional Conduct: 1.5 (Fees), 1.15A (Safeguarding Property), and 7.1 (Communications Concerning a Lawyer's Services).

Abrams stipulated to reprimand for failing to deposit advance fees into his trust account, failing to include a provision in the fee agreement that the client may be entitled to a refund of a portion of the fee if the agreed upon legal services were not completed, and including statements on the firm’s website that omitted facts necessary to make the statements considered as a whole not materially misleading.
