Have you ever tried to note a motion in an unfamiliar county? Have you ever forgotten to confirm your motion in Pierce County? Are you aware that the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington changed its local rules in April 2024? Did you know that U.S. District Court Judges have chamber rules that supersede the local rules? Do you know what they are? Do you know which Washington counties have e-filing?
This one-hour lunchtime CLE will identify some of the pitfalls of local rules in various Superior Courts throughout Washington State and the Western District of Washington. In addition to a riveting presentation, we'll provide some very practical and hopefully useful handouts that consolidate information from various sources and discuss these issues in additional detail.
