This presentation will be a discussion of the ethical debacles and practice triumphs with using artificial intelligence in our legal practices. It will explore AI technology from the Rules of Professional Conduct vantage point and consider Competence and Confidentiality, among other rules. We will take a quick look at fiasco cases where attorneys used artificial intelligence and made colossal and preventable errors. Using the RPCs we will discuss how to avoid ethical missteps.
