The Humane Society of the United States has trained thousands of law enforcement officers across the country on the investigation and prosecution of illegal animal cruelty and fighting crimes. Trainers are former and current law enforcement and experts in enforcing animal protection laws. This course will review the link between animal abuse and violent crime, applicable state and federal laws, investigative techniques, search warrants, evidence collection, and prosecution preparation.
