The heightened visibility of trans and gender diverse children in society, coupled with a significant shift in recommended medical and therapeutic care for these children, presents parents, families, schools, and our broader society with some complex challenges. While there is no one-size-fits-all recommendation for transgender children, there are research-supported standards that will demystify many of the perceived complexities and provide solid best practices for the optimal well-being of these children. This session discusses these topics as well as address barriers that add greater complexity including faith, cultural, and political differences.
